Dublin based aircraft lessor, AWAS, announced today that it has entered into a purchase and leaseback transaction for two midlife Boeing 737-800 aircraft with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, the flag carrier of the Netherlands.
“We are very proud to welcome KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, a flag carrier with prestigious roots tracing back to 1919, as an AWAS aircraft customer,” said Ray Sisson, President and CEO AWAS.
The Boeing 737-800 passenger aircraft is the backbone of KLM’s intra-European fleet. KLM operates 96 direct routes to Europe, Americas, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
