AWAS announced today that is has agreed to the lease of one Airbus A330-200 aircraft with BH Air, an established charter operator based in Sofia, Bulgaria. This widebody aircraft is from AWAS’ existing portfolio and has delivered today. The aircraft is the first of its type as well as the first widebody aircraft for BH Air.
Lanko Ivanov, CEO of BH Air commented upon the delivery, "We have been a longtime Airbus A320 operator, however working with AWAS, we became convinced that the economics and the performance of the A330 can provide us an advantage on certain routes of our operations. This aircraft will allow us to maintain the highest quality of service to our customers, allow us to extend to destinations beyond the range of our existing fleet, as well as benefit from A320/ A330 commonalities.”
