AWAS sells one 767-300ER to Air Do in Japan

AWAS announced today that it has sold one Boeing 767-300ER from its existing portfolio to Air Do, the Hokkaido-based airline of Japan.

AWAS had initially delivered this aircraft new to Air Do, formerly Hokkaido International Airlines, and was the first aircraft leased to Air Do as a start up airline in 1998. AWAS has supported Air Do since its inception and later provided a second 767-300ER aircraft to further assist their growth in the Hokkaido market.

Richard Sinclair, VP Sales AWAS commented, “AWAS congratulates Air Do on this acquisition and looks forward to further assisting the airline in the near future.”

Air Do is a successful Low Cost carrier with a regional focus on Japan’s northernmost prefecture, Hokkaido. It offers several daily low-fare services on the high-density trunk route from Tokyo Haneda to Sapporo’s New Chitose airport and to other destinations in Hokkaido.
