On 20th January 2011, Bmi/Bmibaby celebrated its 100th check with in the Lufthansa Technik Network. This maintenance event coincided with Lufthansa Technik Sofia’s 50th check milestone. The occasion was honoured by Mr. Bernd Freckmann, CEO of Lufthansa Technik Sofia, Mr. Jason Mahoney, Technical Director of Bmi and Mr. Marcus Motschenbacher, Director Network Sales and Contract Manager Lufthansa Technik.
