Boeing Statement on Hewa Bora Airways Accident

SEATTLE, July 8, 2011 – The Boeing Company offers heartfelt sympathy to the families and friends of those lost today in the Hewa Bora Airways 727 accident, and our hope for the recovery of those injured. Boeing stands ready to provide technical assistance to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of the Democratic Republic of the Congo through the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board.

In accordance with the international protocol governing aviation accident investigations, all inquiries about the investigation must be directed to the CAA.
