Brand New B737-800NG Aircraft "B. Kustodiev" Joins Aeroflot Fleet

November 1, 2013, Moscow. — Aeroflot took delivery of its second B737-800 Next Generation airliner made by Boeing. The aircraft is named in honor of eminent Russian artist Boris Mikhailovich Kustodiev.

Aeroflot has acquired the aircraft under operating lease agreement with Avia Capital Leasing Limited company. It is planned that Aeroflot receives another aircraft of this type by the end of 2013.

Aeroflot’s Boeing 737-800NG has two-class composition with 20 seats in business class and 138 seats in economy class. The Business class salon is equipped with monitors for viewing media content. With the third B737 received, Aeroflot will activate the on-board Wi-Fi system and all the passengers in both classes will be able to enjoy the entertainment media content via their personal gadgets.

All Boeing B737-800 aircraft are delivered to Aeroflot directly from the manufacturer. The range of this aircraft with maximum passenger load is up to 4,500 km. Airplanes are equipped with CFM56-7V26 engines.

Boeing 737 is one of the world’s most popular single-aisle jet airliners providing high level of comfort on medium-haul routes.
