Brussels Airlines launches scheduled service to Mombasa

As from this winter season Brussels Airlines flies weekly to Mombasa. The tourist coastal city with its magnificent sandy beaches and hotel infrastructure is Brussels Airlines second destination in Kenya after Nairobi.

The opening of Mombasa, a coastal city of almost 1 million inhabitants located in the South-East of Kenya along the Indian Ocean allows Brussels Airlines to add one of the key tourist cities of Africa’s East Coast to its network. The nice climate, the shiny white sandy beaches and the superb hotel infrastructure invite holidaymakers to spend relaxing holidays. Those looking for more action will certainly like the many water sport possibilities and numerous excursions. Mombasa is also the perfect gateway to go on safari in one of the gorgeous national parks.

Starting on 2 November Brussels Airlines will fly every Friday morning to Mombasa. The return flight is scheduled on Friday evening with arrival in Brussels Airport on Saturday morning. The flight schedule allows smooth connections to and from other European countries (France, Germany, UK, Italy, Scandinavia, Russia, USA,…).

Passengers going on safari can combine a flight to Mombasa with a return flight from Nairobi or vice versa to avoid long transfers over land. This combination possibility also allows a flexible duration of their stay as Brussels Airlines flies to Nairobi every Monday, Friday and Sunday.

Brussels Airlines is pleased that the Belgian tourism group Thomas Cook / Neckermann/ Pegase makes use of this new scheduled flight to offer their customers the possibility to fly in comfort to Kenya.
