C&L Aerospace To Sell Four Saab 340’s To Virgin Islands Carrier

Bangor, Maine (USA) – C&L Aerospace, an industry leader in regional carrier repair, maintenance, part support and financing services, announced today the sale of four Saab 340 aircraft to Seaborne Airlines based in the United States Virgin Islands.

These aircraft are part of a 23 aircraft fleet C&L is marketing exclusively for Pinnacle Airlines. The aircraft were previously operated by Colgan airways. C&L now have 14 aircraft remaining for sale or lease.

“Re-marketing aircraft is a growing part of our business” stated Chris Kilgour, CEO of C&L Aerospace. “Our full service facility provides customers a one stop source for all their aircraft information.”

Seaborne operates two divisions: the seaplane, offering high frequency flights between the harbors of downtown St. Croix/St. Thomas, and the airshuttle, serving St. Croix/St. Thomas and San Juan. Through its growing scheduled service operations, Seaborne Airlines serves more than 175,000 Virgin Islands passengers annually.

Over the next six months, the Saab 340 aircraft will go through a detailed maintenance program at C&L Aviation Services before being released into service, bringing Seaborne’s fleet to a total of eight.

C&L continues to provide Saab 340 customers around the world with high quality aircraft ready for revenue service.
