Cebu Pacific flies with FMS navigation data from Lufthansa Systems

The Philippine carrier Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) will use Lufthansa Systems’ comprehensive navigation data for their Flight Management System (FMS). Both companies recently signed a five-year-contract for the use of Lido/FMS.

The FMS database from Lufthansa Systems contains all important route information including altitude and airport data for optimizing routes on board modern aircraft. The navigation data, which are based on global aeronautical information, are updated every 28 days according the AIRAC cycle and can be customized to specific routes and for the use in almost any type of commercial aircraft. Lufthansa Systems can thus meet the requirements and needs of the airlines at all times.

Low-fare airline CEB offers the most number of flights, frequencies, routes and destinations within the Philippines. From its four operational hubs in Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Davao, CEB flies to 16 international cities and 33 domestic destinations. CEB currently operates a 100% brand-new fleet, composed of 15 Airbus A320, 10 Airbus A319, and 8 ATR 72-500 aircraft.
