CF34 engine maintenance for AK Bars

Lufthansa Technik and Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey (LTAA) have concluded a five year non-exclusive agreement with Ak Bars Aero for maintenance, repair & overhaul services of the CF34 engines. In April 2010 the airline based in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, introduced five CRJ200 aircraft which are powered by this engine type.

Previously Bugulma Aviation Enterprise, the recently restructured operation of AK Bars has grown to serve increasing demand for regional connections across central Russia.

“The joint effort proved successful in gaining LTAA’s first CRJ200 customer in the region. An important milestone for us as we strengthen our position in the Russian regional market,– said Martin Hach, COO of Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey.
