China Aircraft Leasing Company Limited Delivers the Second A320 to the Start-up Qingdao Airlines

May 22 2014, Hong Kong – China Aircraft Leasing Company Limited (“CALC” or the “Company”), the fastest-growing independent aircraft operating lessor in China, is pleased to announce that it delivered its second A320 aircraft to Qingdao Airlines (“QDA”), a Chinese start-up airline with a home base in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China on 8 May 2014.

This second A320 aircraft was delivered to QDA at Airbus’ facilities in Finkenwerder, Hamburg on 8 May 2014, one month after QDA took delivery of its first A320 from CALC on 10 April 2014. CALC is the first aircraft provider to QDA with lease agreement signed in August 2013 encompassing the delivery of five A320 aircraft in 2014 and 2015. The remaining three aircraft are tentatively scheduled to be delivered in 2015.

Like the first aircraft, the second delivered A320 aircraft is powered by CFM56 engines, featuring a comfortable two-class cabin with 8 business and 144 economy class seats and equipped with Sharklets, 2.4-meter tall new wingtip devices made from light-weight composites, which enhance the fuel-efficiency and payload-range performance of the A320 Family resulting in up to 4% lower fuel burn over longer sectors.
