China Construction Bank Group and VietJetAir Agree on a Comprehensive and Strategic Cooperation

(VietJetAir, HCMC, 31/10/2013). China Construction Bank (CCB), CCB Financial Leasing Corporation Limited and VietJetAir have signed the Strategic Partnership Agreement of understanding on strategic cooperation in financing and leasing aircrafts; including aircraft engines and other capital high-value aviation materials and equipment etc. All parties have also agreed to treat each other as strategic partners with priority and preferential policies.

China Construction Bank (CCB) is the second largest bank in China, and is one of the largest banks in the world with the total asset valued at USD 2.242 billion in late 2012. The bank has a network of 13.600 branches with 275.000 employees. CCB also has a branch in Vietnam.

CCB Financial Leasing Corporation Limited is a subsidiary of China Construction Bank. The firm has authorized capital of USD 854 million and total assets valued at USD 10 billion in 2013.

“The agreement is among VietJetAir’s initial steps in financing the order of 100 aircrafts with Airbus last month. The first batch of this order is due for handover next year.
