CIT AEROSPACE ANNOUNCES NEW APPOINTMENTS

NEW YORK – October 1, 2012 – CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT) cit.com a global leader in aircraft finance, today announced that CIT Aerospace has made several new appointments.

Markus Weinseiss has been appointed Managing Director & Head of Planning and Strategy. In his new role, Weinseiss will be responsible for developing, implementing and executing future business plans for CIT Aerospace. He will continue to serve as the Managing Director of CIT Aerospace International. Weinseiss joined CIT in 2000 as a credit officer and in his most recent position, he was Chief Credit Officer.

Jennifer Villa-Tennity has been named Chief Credit Officer, CIT Aerospace. In this role, she will have oversight over the risk function for the business. Villa-Tennity joined CIT in 1998 as an analyst. Since 2010 she has served as Director, Credit/Risk Management with responsibility for the Americas.

Martyn Lewis has been appointed to Senior Regional Director, EMEA & India, and Vice President, Marketing. In addition to retaining his current accounts, Lewis will assist in planning and executing the CIT Aerospace strategy for the EMEA and India. He will also serve as a regional liaison with key airframe and engine suppliers. Lewis joined CIT in 2001. In his most recent role, he was Vice President, Marketing focused on European markets.
