CIT AEROSPACE LEASES TWO 787-8 DREAMLINERS TO AEROMEXICO

NEW YORK – August 21, 2012 – CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT) cit.com, today announced that CIT Aerospace, a global leader in aircraft finance has agreed to lease two new 787-8 Dreamliners to Aeromexico. Deliveries are scheduled in 2015 and 2016. The aircraft will be powered by GEnx-1B70 engines.

“CIT and Aeromexico have a long-standing relationship, spanning more than 25 years,” said Tony Diaz, President of CIT Aerospace. “We are very pleased to expand our partnership further with the addition of two 787-8 Dreamliners.”

CIT owns or finances a fleet of more than 335 commercial aircraft.
