CIT AEROSPACE SIGNED 157 AGREEMENTS TO PLACE AIRCRAFT AND ADDED 13 NEW CUSTOMERS IN 2010

NEW YORK–January 26, 2011 – CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT), today announced that in 2010, CIT Aerospace, Commercial Airlines, a unit of CIT, signed 157 agreements for the current and future lease of commercial aircraft to its expanding client base. In 2010, the Company delivered 75 new and used aircraft to its airline customers around the world and completed the year with all aircraft subject to lease commitments. CIT Aerospace, Commercial Airlines also added 13 new leasing customers in 2010 and now serves more than 120 customers in 55 countries.
