CIT AEROSPACE SIGNED 26 AGREEMENTS RELATED TO THE

NEW YORK – August 1, 2012 – CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT), today announced that in the second quarter of 2012, CIT Aerospace, a global leader in aircraft finance, delivered 18 aircraft to its airline customers around the world. These deliveries include new and used aircraft as well as extensions of leases for the existing fleet.

The Company signed a total of 26 agreements for the current and future leases of commercial aircraft and added two new commercial customers to its client base.

CIT Aerospace serves approximately 100 customers in 55 countries. CIT owns or finances a fleet of more than 335 commercial aircraft.
