Copa Airlines connects Campinas, Brazil to its extensive route network via Panama

Panama City – Copa Airlines {NYSE: CPA}, a subsidiary of Copa Holdings, S. A. and a member of the Star Alliance global network, announced today that it will offer a daily nonstop flight between Campinas and Panama City. With this new addition to its route network, Copa Airlines will serve eight destinations in Brazil.

We are pleased to connect Campinas, Brazil to our extensive route network, which includes Panama, all of Central America, 14 destinations in the Caribbean, 4 in Mexico, 12 in North America, 9 in Colombia, and many more.

Campinas has strong economic potential and is a research, innovation, and development hub in Brazil, and these factors have led us to offer service to this new destination. We are confident that this connection will bring new business and development opportunities to Latin America.

Campinas, known as the “Silicon Valley of Brazil,” has a large middle- and upper-class population with a per-capita GDP of approximately US$14,000. It is a great example of development in this South American country. In addition, it is home to Brazil’s largest number of research, development, and innovation facilities and the fourth most important sector of the country’s economy.

Campinas is a destination for education and business, and fifty of the world’s five hundred biggest companies are located there. By bringing its passengers to this innovative city, Copa Airlines also continues to innovate.

Flight CM729 departs from the Hub of the Americas at 3:35 p.m. daily and arrives at Viracopos International Airport in Campinas at 1:20 a.m. The flight from Campinas departs daily at 2:45 a.m. and arrives at Tocumen International Airport at 6:45 a.m.
