Copa Holdings' Consolidated Traffic for July Grows 21.3%

PANAMA CITY, Aug. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Copa Holdings, S.A. (NYSE: CPA), today released preliminary passenger traffic statistics for July 2011:

For the month of July 2011, Copa Holdings’ system-wide passenger traffic (RPM) increased 21.3%, while capacity (ASM) increased 17.6%. System load factor for July 2011 was 83.2%, a 2.5 percentage point increase when compared to July 2010.

International passenger traffic grew 29.0%, while capacity increased 24.7%. This resulted in a load factor of 83.2%, a 2.7 percentage point increase when compared to July 2010. For the month, International capacity represented 93.8% of total capacity.

Domestic traffic, represented wholly by Colombian domestic service, decreased 35.8%, as capacity decreased 36.6%. As a result, domestic load factor for the month increased 1.0 percentage points to 83.5%. For the month, domestic capacity represented 6.2% of total capacity.
