To coordinate the cabin renovations on its Airbus A330-200 and Boeing 747-400 aircraft, the airline has chosen Aeroconseil for its expertise in both engineering services and the certification procedures for modifications.
Aeroconseil will be working alongside Zodiac Aerospace, who will produce the seats, the In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) equipment and the galleys.
The contract is in line with Corsairfly’s Takeoff 2012 transformation plan, whose main aim is to equip the company with new aircraft and more modern and more comfortable cabins, together with new passenger services.
Aeroconseil will be relying on all the Group’s multi-disciplinary expertise in cabins and avionics, combining the profession of systems design and an understanding of aircraft architecture, to manage all the engineering aspects of cabin renovation for Corsairfly’s aircraft. In addition, Aeroconseil will follow the job through to certification for the installation of the new equipment, thanks to its DOA and Part 21 approvals, issued by the EASA.
“This contract demonstrates Aeroconseil’s ability to provide our customers with a comprehensive service, including all aspects of cabin modification: from design to project supervision as integrator, including following each job through to certification of the modifications carried out. It is a strategically important project for Corsairfly, with whom we are particularly proud to be working. It confirms our status as a major partner capable of responding to complex modification issues,” says Stéphane Bollon, Aeroconseil’s Sales Director for Air Transport activities.
Pascal de Izaguirre, Corsairfly CEO, states: “The fleet transformation plan that we are currently pursuing requires full supervision of the work, down to the smallest detail. We are therefore very pleased to have signed this contract with Aeroconseil, and to benefit from the expertise of its teams and the coordination indispensable for setting up so extensive a project.”
