CTS Adds GE90 Repair Capability

FT. LAUDERDALE (April 12, 2011) – Complete Turbine Services, LLC, a full service jet engine Maintenance, Repair, & Overhaul (MRO) facility located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, announced today that it had added GE90 series repair capability to its Operations Specifications. With the announcement, the company becomes the only independently owned MRO in the United States with GE90 all series repair capability.

“The addition of the GE90 all series capability to CTS’s Ops Specs demonstrates our commitment to the market as well as our dedication to meeting our customers’ needs,” said Konrad J. Walter, CTS’s President & COO. “As one of the leading independent engine MROs in the Western Hemisphere we need to continually stay ahead of our customers’ fleet requirements, and that means developing this capability. As we move beyond the CF6-80 series engines, the next logical step is the GE90.”

Specifically designed for the highly successful Boeing 777, the GE90 is the most powerful commercial engine ever built, holding the world record for jet engine thrust (127,900 pounds).
