London/ Prague – After having issued a Request for Proposal, which was sent out to well over 20 maintenance, repair and overhaul (“MRO”) organizations throughout Europe and after receipt of proposals, Doric Asset Finance (“Doric”) as asset manager for the owners of two (2) Airbus A319s, awarded Czech Airlines Technics in Prague, Czech Republic, with the C-Checks and related activities on these aircraft following an in-depth review, comparison and negotiation with the candidate MRO’s. The maintenance activities are taking place in the first quarter of 2011.
Commenting on the deal, Maurick Groeneveld, Director Aircraft Management with Doric, said “Czech Airlines Technics’ flexibility to meet our specific requirements in combination with the company’s experience and in-house capability for certain components, were important factors to select Czech Airlines Technics.”
Commenting on the deal, Ondřej Konývka, Chairman of the Board of Czech Airlines Technics said “We are pleased to work for a new customer, which, in this case, is not an airline, but a leasing company. This offers us the possibility to broaden our customer base.”
Doric, with offices in Frankfurt, London and New York, has a portfolio of 24 aircraft, ranging from Airbus A319s, through Airbus A340s and Boeing 777s, up to Airbus A380s, which are leased to various airlines throughout the world, like Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Singapore Airlines.
Czech Airlines Technics is the MRO within the CSA Czech Airlines group, which has the capability for ATR, Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 family maintenance. Its customers include Czech Airlines, Air Berlin, TUIFLY and Transavia.
