ATLANTA, June 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) today reported traffic results for May 2011. System traffic in May 2011 increased 2.2 percent compared to May 2010 on a 2.2 percent increase in capacity. Load factor was flat versus prior year at 83.9 percent.
Domestic traffic increased 1.9 percent year over year on a 0.4 percent increase in capacity. Domestic load factor increased 1.3 points to 85.1 percent. International traffic increased 2.6 percent year over year on a 5.0 percent increase in capacity, and load factor decreased 2.0 points to 82.2 percent.
