DELTA TECHOPS ANNOUNCES NEW MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND OVERHAUL LINE FOR THE CF34-8 ENGINE
Apr 18, 2013
ATLANTA, April 18, 2013 – Delta TechOps will expand its engine maintenance, repair and overhaul capability to include the CF34-8 engine type, as announced by Delta’s CEO Richard Anderson this week at the Aviation Week MRO Americas conference in Atlanta.
“This is an investment in the future of Delta TechOps,” said John Laughter, senior vice president – Technical Operations. “As Delta reduces the number of 50-seat regional aircraft and increases the number of 76-seat aircraft, it’s an ideal move to introduce this engine line to support the future composition of our fleet.”
Exact timing of the expanded capability will be determined in the months ahead as Delta TechOps continues to work closely with manufacturers and customers.
“We’re very excited to add the CF34-8 option to our robust engine portfolio,” said Peter Turner, vice president, Delta TechOps MRO Services. “This is a perfect complement to the comprehensive offerings we have for the CF34 engine type and we look forward to having this option for our customers in the future, in addition to providing a very cost-effective solution for Delta’s aircraft needs.”
