The Direct Maintenance line station at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi, Kenya (NBO), has been added as an approved location under our FAA Repair Station approval. To our knowledge Direct Maintenance is the only line mainteance provider able to make services available in Nairobi including Certification of Release to Service on US carriers.
Renowned US operator Atlas Air has appointed Direct Maintenance under a multiple year agreement to provide tailor made line maintenance support during the Atlas Air B747-400 ground stops in Nairobi.
Roger Meels, Technical Director, comments: “We have worked close harmony with the regulatory bodies and are glad our FAA approval has now been extended to include Nairobi. Atlas Air is the largest B747 ACMI operator in our industry. We are really pleased to learn Direct Maintenance is able to meet the Atlas Air requirements to support this important and dynamic operation to full satisfaction. With our FAA Repair Station approval geographically extended to NBO, it allow us to even better tailor our services to our current and future customer base.”
