Eastern Air Lines signs LOI With CAE to Provide Complete Pilot Training Solutions

MIAMI, Dec. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Eastern Air Lines is pleased to announce it has signed a letter of intent with CAE, the world’s premier flight simulator manufacturer, under which CAE will provide Eastern with flight training solutions as it grows its fleet of Boeing 737-NG and MAX aircraft and eventually the Mitsubishi Regional Jet.

With access to full-flight simulation close to our home base, we will have taken the first step in the re-establishment of the Eastern Flight Training Academy in Miami which is now under planning and development,” said Ed Wegel, Eastern’s President and CEO. “CAE enables us to more efficiently plan and schedule our training as well as contain training costs as we seek to grow the airline,” he added.
