Economic indicators for May 2011

In May 2011 on regular flights of Air Moldova airline were transported 47 000 passengers, that is by 18% more than number of passengers transported in the similar period of 2010.

The largest growth of passenger traffic was recorded on directions Chisinau-Kiev (95%), Chisinau-London (88%), Chisinau-Lisbon (57%), Chisinau-Vienna (32%) and Chisinau-Athens (+24).

More than 600 passengers used in May Air Moldova transfer service from Moscow and Bucharest to Europe, through Chisinau International Airport as a transit HUB. In the period January-May 2011 were transported more than 3200 transfer passengers.

In May 2011, the volume of cargo and mail transported by Air Moldova consisted 124 tons, indicating an increase of 32% in comparing with the similar period of 2010.
