EgyptAir restores operation to Libya

In the light of EgyptAir announcement to restore operation to Libya starting 1st of November after suspending the route for 7 months, EgyptAir announces the start of its flights to Benghazi starting Saturday, the 1st of November. EgyptAir will start operating 4 weekly non-stop flights on Saturdays, Mondays, Thursdays and Tuesdays from Cairo. Regarding Tripoli, and according to what the Libyan Civil Aviation Authorities informed EgyptAir with, Tripoli Airport is still under development and repair processes, thus EgyptAir will restore operation to Tripoli once the airport is ready.

In this regard, Eng. Hussein Massoud, EgyptAir Holding Chairman CEO said “EgyptAir puts the reoperation of the flights between Egypt and Libya on its top priorities in this period.” He added “EGYPTAIR is one of the first airlines operating to the Libyan cities. In addition, last year we were operating 21 weekly flights, 14 flights to Tripoli and 7 to Ben Ghazi. Also, EgyptAir has completed the operation requirements to Tripoli and will start operating once permitted.”
