Embraer E-Jets Family Spreads its Wings in Central Europe

Embraer is pleased to welcome the debut of privately owned Austrian airline, People’s
Viennaline, to its E-Jets portfolio of customers.

The airline has commenced operations with one EMBRAER 170 from St. Gallen-
Altenrhein Airport (ACH), Switzerland, to Vienna International Airport (VIE), Austria.

The aircraft, originally delivered to and operated by Finnair, doesn’t change Embraer’s
current order backlog.

“People’s Viennaline’s decision to start operations with the EMBRAER 170 jet makes us very
proud. It is our 18th customer in Europe and the second Austrian airline to select our
E-Jets,” said Paulo César de Souza e Silva, Embraer Executive Vice President, Airline
Market. “While passengers will enjoy the aircraft’s exceptional comfort, the airline will
benefit from the EMBRAER 170’s outstanding economics and performance.”

A subsidiary of the People’s Business Airport St. Gallen-Altenrhein, People’s Viennaline is
offering a three-times-daily service on weekdays plus one round-trip each day at the weekend
on this initial route. Configured with 76 seats in a single class layout, the EMBRAER 170 jet
replaces a turboprop previously operated on this route.

“With the setting up of this new airline, we are progressing with our commitment to this
airport – to provide passengers with their dedicated airline, with a strong emphasis on
customer service from booking to landing,” said Markus Kopf, CEO of People’s Business
Airport St. Gallen-Altenrhein and founder of People’s Viennaline. “The EMBRAER 170 is a
state-of-the-art aircraft ideally suited for this route, combining excellent economics with a
high level of comfort. It contributes to the image of a smart and dynamic airline.”

People’s Viennaline also signed a service contract for Embraer’s Pool Flight Hour Program to
cover the EMBRAER 170. The program gives People’s Viennaline quick access to spare parts
from Embraer’s distribution and service centres, eliminating the need for the airline to invest
in a large inventory of replacement items. The maintenance of the aircraft will be supported
by Niki, the second Embraer E-Jets customer in Austria.
