Ethiopian Commences New Services to Malakal

Ethiopian Airlines is pleased to announce the launching of new flight services to Malakal, the South Sudan effective 17th June 2011.

Malakal is a town located in the upper Nile region of the South Sudan. The region is rich in oil and various investments are currently taking place.

The new flight service to Malakal will bring Ethiopianā€˜s international destinations to sixty two. It is also the second destination in South Sudan. Mr. Tewolde Gebre Mariam, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines says: “The new flight services to Malakal provide the best connectivity and convenience for business people as well as the general public of the South Sudan.”

The new flights will connect Malakal to the vast Ethiopian route network worldwide via the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport hub.

Ethiopian will serve Malakal on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
