Expansion for Air Berlin PLC Board

Dr. Lothar Steinebach and Andries B. van Luijk are new Non-Executive Directors on the Board of Directors

Dr. Lothar Steinebach, longstanding Chief Financial Officer at Henkel AG, and aviation expert Andries B. van Luijk are set to join Air Berlin PLC’s Board of Directors as of today.

Dr. Steinebach has worked for a total of 32 years for Henkel AG & Co KGaA; from 2003 until 2012, he was the board member with responsibility for finance and from 2007 he was additionally responsible for the purchasing, IT, and law departments.

Andries B. van Luijk, who comes from the Netherlands, started his career in 1969 working for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. Until 1999, he held a number of different positions around the world for the airline, i.a. as Executive Vice-President Passenger Sales and Services and Chairman of the KLM-NWA Joint Venture.
