FALKO COMPLETES MD83 REMARKETING MANDATE FOR AVIANCA

Hatfield, Hertfordshire …Falko has arranged the sale of the remaining three of eight Boeing MD83 airliners on behalf of Colombian flag carrier Avianca to successfully complete the remarketing mandate awarded by the airline in April 2009.

The first five aircraft were sold in November 2010 with four aircraft being acquired by Jet Midwest Group of Kansas City, Missouri and one aircraft bought by Sierra American Corporation of Texas.

The final three aircraft under the mandate remained in service with Avianca until recently and have now been sold to the same buyers.

Two aircraft have been sold to Jet Midwest Group (msns 49944 and 49947) which is a full-service commercial aircraft sales and leasing company founded in 1997 and which has been instrumental in the acquisition and sale of over 150 commercial jet aircraft and over 250 engines. Both aircraft were delivered by early summer.

The final aircraft (msn 49945) was sold to Sierra American Corporation, the leasing affiliate company for Ameristar Air Cargo, Inc. d/b/a/ Ameristar Charters, an FAA Part 121 Air Carrier company based at Dallas Addison Airport. The aircraft was delivered earlier in the year. Ameristar is operating the aircraft within its charter network which presently oversees more than 5000 air charters annually.
