Hatfield, Hertfordshire…..Falko continues to demonstrate the market acceptance of the BAe 146 regional jetliner with recent placements into Ghanaian and Romanian customers.
The growing popularity of the BAe 146 in Africa has been enhanced by its selection for new start-up airline Starbow, which has purchased two BAe 146-300s from Falko.
Bearing manufacturer’s serial numbers E3123 and E3125, both aircraft are equipped to a high specification and configured with 86 economy seats and eight business class seats.
The first aircraft has recently been delivered with the second expected to ferry to Accra this week.
Starbow has stated its intention to operate both domestic and regional international services from Accra.
Meanwhile in Europe, Falko has reached agreement with Romavia for the lease of a BAe 146-200 (msn E2062) which the airline will be using on state and governmental flights on behalf of the Romanian Presidency and Government. The aircraft has just been delivered.
Romavia is fully owned by the Romanian state and commenced operations in 1991 primarily for official flights, but it also has, until recently, previously ran a commercial air charter programme.
