fastjet (LON:FJET) said planes on its Tanzanian operation achieved a 68% load factor last month (March).
The load factor is the number of passengers as a percentage of the number of available seats, the firm said.
It came despite the start of the rainy season and the company adding capacity on additional routes from mid-March, it added.
fastjet started Tanzania operations on November 29 last year and last month just over 30,000 passengers used the service.
Yesterday, the company revealed that 100% of customers who took part in a recent survey were satisfied with their flights and would recommend the company to a friend.
In addition, nine out of 10 passengers surveyed considered fastjet flights to be “very good value” and stated that they would fly with the Africa-focused budget carrier again.
The company’s full results statement is expected this month.
