February 2014: the trend of growth in Alitalia passenger numbers and of further improvement in operational performance continues.

MORE THAN 1 MILLION 380 THOUSAND PASSENGERS CARRIED, +1% COMPARED TO FEBRUARY 2013.

FEBRUARY SAW AN INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF PASSENGERS TRAVELLING THROUGH THE ROME FIUMICINO HUB (1.7% VS. FEBRUARY 2013) AND THROUGH MILAN LINATE (5.4% VS. FEBRUARY 2013).

FURTHER GROWTH IN OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE DURING FEBRUARY :
PUNCTUALITY A15 : 93.1% (7.6 P.P. VS. FEBRUARY 2013 WHICH WAS 85.5%);
REGULARITY : 99.8% (
0.7 P.P. VS. JANUARY 2013 WHICH WAS 99.1%).

Rome, 3 March 2014 – February continued to show a growth trend in the number of passengers carried by Alitalia.

While January closed with an increase of 0.5% (compared to January 2013), Alitalia recorded 1,380,301 passengers carried during the month of February, an increase of 1% compared to the same month in 2013.

At the main Italian airports served by Alitalia, Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate, the growth figures also showed values greater than the +1% recorded across the network: the number of passengers travelling through the Rome Fiumicino hub in February showed an increase of +1.7% compared to February 2013; an increase of 5.4% compared to the same month last year was also recorded for the number of passengers travelling through the Milan city airport.

In February 2014, the levels of Alitalia’s operational performance (punctuality and regularity) were also further improved.

During the month, punctuality A15, i.e. the number of flights landing within 15 minutes of the scheduled time of arrival, reached 93.1%, an increase of 7.6 percentage points compared to February 2013 (recorded as 85.5%).

The regularity index, equal to 99.8%, i.e. the number of flights operated out of the total number of flights scheduled, shows an increase compared to February 2013 recorded as 99.1%).
