Fifth Blue1 Boeing 717 enters commercial service

On Tuesday 18th of January Blue1 introduced its fifth Boeing 717 in commercial operations. The fifth Boeing 717 aircraft in Blue1 fleet, under registration OH-BLP and in Star Alliance livery, entered service flying a scheduled flight from Helsinki to Oslo. Blue1 will have nine 717:s in its fleet by the end of March 2011.

The Boeing 717 represents the top of the short and middle-range aircraft types and has an important role in the company’s route strategy as Blue1 is strongly directing its course in becoming the airline for Finnish business travelers.
