Finnair Traffic Performance in February 2013

In February, Finnair traffic measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres rose by 2.6 per cent and the overall capacity decreased 3.5 per cent year‐on‐year. Passenger load factor improved by 4.7 percentage points and was 80.6 per cent.

In February, the capacity in Asian traffic decreased by 9.7 per cent and the traffic measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres by 2.1 per cent year‐on‐year. Capacity in Asian traffic was scaled back around Chinese New Year when the Asian travel demand to Europe is low.

In February, leisure traffic measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres grew by 7.4 per cent and capacity grew by 2.1 per cent. The load factor improved by 4.7 percentage points and was 97.0 per cent.

In cargo, traffic measured in revenue tonne kilometres decreased by 21.9 per cent and the overall capacity by 17.2 per cent year-on-year. The load factor fell by 3.5 percentage points and was 58.6 per cent.

In February, the arrival punctuality improved notably year-on-year. In Scheduled traffic, 84.4 per cent of flights arrived on schedule (73.5) and 83.0 per cent (73.1 per cent in February 2012) of all traffic.
