Finnair Traffic Performance in May 2013

In May, Finnair traffic measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres rose by 4.9 per cent and the overall capacity grew 3.9 per cent year‐on‐year. Passenger load factor improved by 0.7 percentage points and was 75.1 per cent.

The capacity in Asian traffic grew by 2.1 per cent and the traffic measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres by 5.3 per cent year‐on‐year.

In May, leisure traffic measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres decreased by 1.1 per cent and capacity decreased by 1.6 per cent. The load factor improved by 0.5 percentage points and was 88.4 per cent.

In cargo, traffic measured in revenue tonne kilometres decreased by 6.8 per cent and the overall capacity grew by 0.3 per cent year-on-year. The load factor fell by 4.8 percentage points and was 62.4 per cent.

In May, the arrival punctuality improved year-on-year and it was excellent. In Scheduled traffic, 94.1 per cent of flights arrived on schedule (90.5). Of all traffic, 93.9 per cent (90.4 per cent in May 2012) of flights were on schedule.
