Finnair Traffic Performance in May 2014

In May, Finnair traffic measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres increased by 3.5 per cent and the overall capacity grew by 2.6 per cent year‐on‐year. Passenger load factor increased by 0.7 percentage points and was 75.7 per cent.

The capacity in Asian traffic decreased by 0.5 per cent and the traffic measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres increased by 1.9 per cent year‐on‐year.

European traffic measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres grew by 13.8 per cent and capacity by 14.1 per cent year-on-year.

Leisure traffic measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres decreased by 18.1 per cent and capacity decreased by 9.9 per cent year-on-year.

In cargo, traffic measured in revenue tonne kilometres grew by 11.9 per cent and the overall capacity decreased by 6.2 per cent year-on-year. The load factor improved by 11.2 percentage points from last year’s level and was 69.2 per cent.

In May, 89.5 per cent of scheduled flights arrived on schedule (94.1). Of all traffic, 89.3 per cent (93.9) of flights were on schedule.
