Flybe to provide jet service for Helvetic Airways

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has today announced it has signed a contract with Zürich-based Helvetic Airways, to provide the Swiss airline with a 118-seat Embraer E195 jet aircraft with flight deck and cabin crew, operating under Flybe’s Airline Operating Certificate (AOC) for a period of two months.

This move is evidence of Flybe’s growing reputation as a quality provider of professional turn-key white label capacity solutions across Europe.

Helvetic Airlines operates flights frequented by both business and leisure customers to destinations in Europe and Northern Africa. Its arrangement with Flybe will run from 1 July through to 31 August 2014 and the aircraft will operate three key routes from Zurich to Ohrid, Skopje (Macedonia) and Prishtina (Kosovo).

Saad Hammad, Flybe’s Chief Executive Officer, comments: “We are delighted to partner with Helvetic and provide them with the service they require for two months over the busy summer period. Flybe is already Europe’s largest white label provider and such operations are becoming an increasingly important part of the Flybe business model. We have established an excellent reputation in this sector having entered into similar contracts with several other household names in European aviation and remain committed to growing this side of our business.”
