Fokker Elmo successfully started manufacturing for new GKN Aerospace contract

Hoogerheide – Fokker Elmo B.V., part of Fokker Technologies, has successfully started manufacturing Electrical Wiring harnesses for engine nacelles made at GKN Aerospace Cowes, for a range of military transport and commercial aircraft as well as business and private jets.

Fokker Elmo is already supplying GKN Aerospace with Airbus A320 wing wiring, for which at the Farnborough Airshow they received recognition for an outstanding performance. The excellent (100%) delivery and quality performance has contributed to the award of this new contract to Fokker Elmo. The new contract confirms Fokker Elmo’s position as a strategic Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) supplier to GKN Aerospace. After an initial startup of manufacturing at Fokker Elmo’s facilities in The Netherlands, serial production has successfully been transferred to the Fokker Elmo subsidiaries in Turkey for the Defense programs and in China for the Civil programs.

Fokker Elmo President, Mr. Jan Lagasse stated: “We are truly excited about expanding our strategic relationship with GKN Aerospace. We are proud that we have been able to support GKN Aerospace, assuring long term continuity of their EWIS supply chain.“

Fokker Elmo’s order portfolio further includes an extensive range of commercial and military aircraft and engines. The Fokker Elmo proprietary Wiring Design and Manufacturing System provides a unique and innovative toolset to support aircraft manufacturers worldwide.
