Fokker Services FLYFokker program proves value for 18 operators within 16 months

Nieuw Vennep, March 2nd 2011, Fokker Services celebrates the success of its FLYFokker program, the innovative life cycle support program for the Fokker fleet. The program was launched at the Dubai Airshow in November 2009 and consists of cost-effective aircraft and service solutions for start-up, mature and phase-out operators.

“Since the launch of FLYFokker a lot has happened.“ says Erik Goedhart, VP Marketing & Sales, Fokker Services. “It brought us new Fokker operators over the whole world like Eagles Spa, Sol de Paraguay, SKA Air & Logistics, Air Panama, Transnusa and PT Sky Aviation. All these operators made a successful Take Off with Fokker aircraft. Furthermore, existing Fokker operators including Aero Mongolia, Aero Transportes, Air Astana, CAA, Skywest, Carpat Air, Alliance Airlines, Contact Air, Helvetic Airways, IAA, IRS and Portugalia increased their fleets with additional Fokker aircraft. For all these operators we developed a customized FLYFokker solution. 16 Months after the launch, we can certainly say that this program has contributed to the continued competitive operation of the Fokker fleet.”

“The Fokker 100 has the right size for our markets and offers a fair balance between lower capital costs on the one hand, and maintenance and fuel burdens on the other hand" says Flavio Nicolino, General Manager, Sol de Paraguay.

Geoff Silk, VP Engineering and Maintenance, Air Astana: “The Fokker 50 has proven to be a very reliable and capable workhorse for Air Astana. During six years in service it has helped Air Astana develop a cost effective feeder network across Kazakhstan in all types of weather.”

FLYFokker comprises a package of four solutions: Take Off, Take Care, Take Over and Take Next. Startup operators can Take Off with their operation in six weeks instead of typically six months. For mature Fokker operators Take Care is a comprehensive and cohesive solution to increase Technical Dispatch Reliability (TDR), reduce Direct Operating Cost (DOC) and improve passenger comfort. Operators moving to other aircraft types are supported by Fokker Services in the Take Over of the continued competitive operation of their Fokker fleet. The fourth solution is a package for a mean and lean transfer of aircraft to the next operator, called Take Next.

Partnerships
The program is used by and/or developed with key customers and strategic partners like Austrian Airlines, KLM Cityhopper and Denim Air.

Major vendors such as Messier Dowty, Goodrich, C&D Zodiac, Eaton Aerospace, Piedmont Aviation Component Services, and engine OEM’s like Rolls-Royce and Pratt and Whitney Canada, also participate.
