Garuda Indonesia has received the 47th Boeing 737-800NG aircraft

Jakarta, Indonesia- 20 September 2011, PT. Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (IHSG-GIAA), on Friday 16 September 2011 accept the 47th Boeing 737-800NG, which is delivered directly by VP Operations Delivery Center of Boeing Mr. John Prico to President & CEO of PT Garuda Indonesia Mr. Emirsyah Satar in Boeing Facilities and witnessed by U.S. ambassador of Indonesia HE.Dino Patti Djalal.

According to company strategy of "Quantum Leap 2011 – 2015 " and as part of fleet modernization, PT Garuda Indonesia has ordered 50 Boeing737–800NG (New generation) and 10 Boeing 777-300ER , so that in 2015 PT Garuda Indonesia will have 154 aircraft with an average age of 5 years.
