MUMBAI, October 19, 2011 – GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing unit of GE, announced delivery of a new Boeing 737-800 aircraft leased to India’s Jet Airways. The aircraft comes from GECAS’ existing order book with Boeing.
The aircraft is the first Jet Airways aircraft to feature Boeing’s new Sky Interior with a new, open design; brighter color scheme; LED lighting; and increased overhead bin storage capacity.
With one of the youngest fleets in the world, Jet Airways operates a fleet of some 100 aircraft to 76 domestic and international destinations. Jet Airways is a longstanding customer of GECAS.
