Germania Selects Eaton to Provide Hydraulic Pumps and Pump Repair and Overhaul Services for New Fleet of Airbus A319s

IRVINE, Calif. …Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation has been selected by Berlin-based airline Germania to provide engine-driven hydraulic pumps as well as pump repair and overhaul services for the airline’s new fleet of Airbus A319 passenger jets. The new relationship with Germania highlights Eaton’s dual capabilities as a leading component manufacturer and provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul services for the aerospace industry. The value of the contracts has not been disclosed.

“Eaton is very pleased to support Germania as the airline prepares to place its new fleet of A319s into service,” said Eric Alden, vice president of customer support for Eaton’s Aerospace Group. “Germania joins a growing number of Eaton customers who are benefitting from our ability to provide quality components along with outstanding maintenance, repair and overhaul support in Europe. We are excited about this new relationship and look forward to more opportunities in the future to support Germania.”

The pumps provide hydraulic power to perform vital actions on the aircraft, including landing gear extension and retraction; flap, aileron and rudder motion; brake and thrust reverser actuation; and cargo door opening and closing.
