Grupo Aeromexico Reports 17 Percent Passenger Increase for December 2013

MEXICO CITY, Jan. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Grupo Aeromexico S.A.B. de C.V. (“Aeromexico”) (BMV: AEROMEX), the largest airline in Mexico, reports its operating statistics for December 2013.

Grupo Aeromexico transported one million 495 thousand passengers in December; a 16.9% year-on-year increase and the year’s highest monthly growth rate thus far. Domestic passengers increased 14.0%, while international passengers increased 23.3%. Demand, measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometers (RPKs), increased 19.2% year-on-year; the most significant monthly increase reported since July 2011. The Company’s capacity, measured in Available Seat Kilometers (ASKs), increased 12.3%, year-on-year. The December load factor was therefore 80.6%; a 4.7 percent year-on-year increase.

Aeromexico has reached 87.7% on-time departure, year to date; a 7.7 percentage point improvement year-on-year.
