Grupo Aeromexico Reports 6.1 Percent Increase in Passenger Numbers for the First Half of the Year

MEXICO CITY, July 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Grupo Aeromexico S.A.B de C.V. (“Aeromexico”) (BMV: AEROMEX), the largest intercontinental airline in Mexico, reports operating statistics for June, 2012.

Grupo Aeromexico transported one million 239 thousand passengers in June 2012, which represents 4.1% year-on-year growth for the month of June. International passenger traffic grew 8.2% and domestic passenger traffic grew 2.7%. The total number of passengers transported in the first half of 2012 reached seven million 178 thousand; a 6.1% year-on-year increase, with an 11% increase in international passenger traffic and a 4.5% increase in domestic passenger traffic.

Grupo Aeromexico’s demand, measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometers (RPK’s), increased 7% year-on-year in June, and capacity, measured in Available Seat Kilometers (ASK’s), grew 9.5%. As a result, the load factor for the month was 76.8%.

The Company’s RPKs increased 6.7% and ASKs increased 7% in the first half of the year. Therefore, the load factor was 76.7%.
