Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain has announced a series of initiatives in celebration of the French National Day and its commitment to the French market.
Gulf Air Chief Executive Officer Mr. Majali said, “Gulf Air’s relationship with France is longstanding – dating back to our first flight to Paris in 1976. Today, France remains a strategic route and key market for the airline in recognition of which, we are delighted to announce a series of offerings for our passengers.
“In addition to increasing frequency to ten weekly flights for the summer rush, we have also upgraded the flight capacity to a 110 seater Airbus A320ER. By connecting Paris with Bahrain we have opened up new doors of opportunity for trade and tourism for both countries. As the only carrier operating the largest network in the Middle East with over 1000 flights per week we present a unique advantage for our European customers to reach the vast Middle East and North Africa markets with our seamless connection via Bahrain” concluded Mr. Majali.As an added bonus, the airline has introduced two promotional campaigns for the French market, the popular ‘Half Miles’ FalconFlyer redemption scheme and the ‘Early Bird’ seat sale promotion. The ‘Half Miles’ redemption promotion allows FalconFlyer members to travel anywhere on Gulf Air’s network by redeeming just 50% of the required miles from their accumulated miles. The ‘Early Bird’ seat sale offers reduced rates on fares to destinations within the airline’s network, allowing customers to enjoy travel at affordable rates.
Gulf Air’s loyalty program ‘Falconflyer’ is packed with privileges in all its three categories – Gold, Silver and Blue. From additional baggage allowances to enjoying the facilities at Falcon Gold lounges to earning double miles, the programme offers more advantages and benefits comparable to other loyalty programmes in the world.

The ticket sales for the ‘Early Bird’ promotion are for a limited period only, starting 10th July and ending 25th of July 2012, for travel between 12th of August and 30th of September 2012.
Gulf Air is currently operating an Airbus A320ER offering 14 seats in Falcon Gold class and 96 in Economy and cargo capacity to carry two tons of freight.
