Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (“HAECO Group”) today announced that its joint venture company Taikoo (Shandong) Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (“STAECO”) has completed a Boeing 737 converted freighter for SF Airlines Co. Ltd., marking a significant milestone of the 100th freighter conversion performed by the HAECO Group. The aircraft is also the 40th Boeing 737 freighter conversion completed by the HAECO Group with its Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) partner PEMCO World Air Services (“PEMCO”).
The HAECO Group completed the first conversion of a Boeing passenger aircraft into freighter configuration in 1995. Since then, HAECO, and its group companies Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. (“TAECO”) and STAECO have established themselves as the world’s leading service providers in freighter conversion. The Group has redelivered 100 converted freighters for 25 customers worldwide, including 39 Boeing 737SF, 40 Boeing 747-400BCF, 15 Boeing 747SF and six Boeing 757PCF. The HAECO Group possesses extensive technical capabilities and maintains longstanding business relationship with STC partners The Boeing Company, PEMCO and Precision Conversions, LLC.
A celebration ceremony was held on 28 October in Jinan, Shandong province, China, in the presence of customers and business partners.
