Hawaiian Airlines Appoints Steven Borzilleri as Managing Director for Hawaii Maintenance

HONOLULU – August 12, 2011 – Hawaiian Airlines announced the appointment of Steven Borzilleri to the new position of managing director for Hawaii maintenance.

Hawaiian created this position as part of a recent corporate realignment to oversee all of the company’s maintenance activities conducted within the state of Hawaii. Borzilleri is responsible for directing the work of Hawaiian’s 270 maintenance staff personnel and support facilities at its hub operations at Honolulu International Airport, as well as its Neighbor Island airport station operations in Lihue, Kahului, Hilo, and Kona.

“Steve has an impressive and diverse background in aviation maintenance that will serve Hawaiian’s needs very well as we continue to move forward with our plan to add more new aircraft to our fleet operations and expand our service to new destinations abroad,” said Charles Nardello, Hawaiian’s senior vice president of operations.

Borzilleri brings more than 20 years of management experience in aviation maintenance to Hawaiian, the bulk of which was accrued for US Airways at its largest international operations in Philadelphia. This included serving as director of technical operations support for aircraft serving 13 cities in Europe and, before that, as hub director for line maintenance overseeing 700 maintenance personnel servicing more than 300 flights daily.

Most recently, Borzilleri served as a consultant the past three years providing his expertise in support of business development opportunities and aircraft certification for various aviation companies.
