Hong Kong Airlines inaugurates Hong Kong - Singapore non-stop service

An inauguration ceremony was organized at the Hong Kong International Airport on 15 January 2011 to celebrate the launching of Hong Kong Airlines’ daily direct scheduled service to Singapore, which meets the demand for both business and leisure travel to and from the city.

To celebrate this accomplishment, Hong Kong Airlines has invited the management, crews, guests and media to join the ceremony. Representatives of the Singapore Tourism Board were invited and this enhanced the close relationship and opened the door of future cooperation. We have specially designed a commemorative gift to all the passengers on the inaugural flight. The flight departed at 11:50am. All guests and passengers arrived at Changi Airport after 3.5 hours, and they were all welcomed by our local team in Singapore.

The Singapore route is a daily scheduled flight service from Hong Kong operated by brand new Airbus A330-200 aircraft equipped with a personal audio/video on-demand entertainment system with wide selection of movies, music and games. The spacious and ergonomic seats and hydraulic leg rests in Business Class provide passengers with extra comfort.

Besides Singapore, Hong Kong Airlines will further enhance our route networks in the near future, aiming to provide customers with more choices and enjoyable travelling experiences.
